Edge Steakhouse, Fresco Italiano and Benihana are on Tripadvisor’s top 10 best restaurants in Las Vegas list. What’s the secret? The answer for Steve Kisner, executive director of food and beverage at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, is simple.

“Fresh, quality ingredients, exquisitely prepared dishes, and a team that provides legendary service,” he says. “Many of our team members have worked at the property for years and take great pride in what they do. Our guests can feel that and it blows them away.”

Along with being rated high for their culinary efforts and dedicated service, all restaurants have an interesting beverage program. “Our bartenders are skilled in their mastery of creating classic and specialty cocktails that reflect the personalities and vibe of each of our venues,” Kisner says.

Here’s an inside look at Edge Steakhouse, Fresco Italiano and Benihana, plus other favorite eateries around the property, such as Silk Road Asian Bistro, Rikki Tiki Sushi and Sid’s Cafe.

EDGE STEAKHOUSE

Edge Steakhouse offers guests a remarkable experience from start to finish. Not only is it the No. 1 Las Vegas steakhouse on Tripadvisor, but it also features a Wine Spectator award-winning wine list.

“Our chef and sommelier work very closely together to perfect menu pairings and like to focus not just on the flavor of dishes, but the presentation and the textures of the food as well,” says Richard Douglas, Edge Steakhouse’s general manager.

From the 12-ounce Wagyu strip loin to the 20-ounce bone-in ribeye, there are many great prime cuts on the menu. But one of the most unique options is the 7-ounce Wagyu rib cap from Snake River Farms. Executive Chef Dustin Sinclair says it’s an item that is not generally seen on menus in Las Vegas steakhouses. “Also known as the deckle, it’s the richest meat on top of the ribeye steak.”

Fresco Italiano

Ranked the No. 1 Italian restaurant in Las Vegas by Tripadvisor, Fresco Italiano brings together a casual Italian dining experience with its Trattoria-style cuisine.

“We use fresh ingredients and authentic old-world Italian recipes for every dish,” says Crystal Stokes, the restaurant’s general manager. “Everything is made from scratch and cooked to order from our pizza dough to our meatballs. There truly is something for everyone.”

And she’s right about that. “If you enjoy the classics, try our slow-braised meatballs and scaloppine di vitello,” she says. “If you’re feeling more adventurous, try our bruschetta trio and seasonal risotto.”

Other speciality items include the frutti di mare, spaghetti pomodoro, risotto alla primavera, chicken parmesan, and pappardelle bolognese. If you’re looking to try a little bit of everything, Fresco Italiano offers a chef’s tasting menu with the perfect wine pairing for each course.

Benihana Village

Within Benihana Village, you’ll find the best teppanyaki experience at the world’s largest Benihana, a blend of three different genres of Asian-style cooking at Silk Road Asian Bistro, and an authentic sushi menu and beautiful scenery at Rikki Tiki Sushi. Each restaurant offers beverage menus, with everything from beers and sake to wine and specialty cocktails.

Sid’s Café

Sid’s Café, located on the casino floor, offers a creative approach to homestyle cooking with breakfast, lunch and dinner portions large enough to satisfy anyone’s appetite. Must-try items include the cinnamon crunch French toast, avocado toast, seared salmon, steak frites, Nashville spicy hot chicken sandwich, Monte Cristo sandwich, and three-layer chocolate mousse cake.

Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino offers many other great dining options. “Along with our signature restaurant collection, we also have numerous quick bite options,” Kisner says. “This includes a food court at the sportsbook and two coffee shops. We also have an all-you-can-eat buffet that serves brunch on the weekends.”
